WoW Power Leveling is where you let some 3rd party company or individual play your account in World of Warcraft (and other games) in order to reach a higher level in the game much more quickly than would be normally possible.
Very often these companies that offer power level services for World of Warcraft services Chinese contractors to do the work for them. The Chinese people will work in shifts and know how best to level a character up fast.
At least that is the theory. A good power leveling company should not use bots or any automated scripts to spead up the process, often use of such bots in unskilled or uncaring hands can lead to your character and hence account becoming banned!

I paid itemrate.com to level my Druid from level 30 to 55. They were doing really good until they reached the level 54 and my account was banned. Now I am having nothing but problems with their live chat at itemrate.com and for the longest time they wouldn’t tell me anything except “please try contact blizzard once more. if you keep bugging them they give account back.” i talked to blizzard several times telling them my account was hacked and they didn’t seem to care. on top of it all, blizzard is being very vague about why the account was banned. now it’s been 23 days since the account was banned and itemrate.com is telling me to wait another 7 days so they can investigate. lol. investigate what i asked. all they said is that is their rule. I also had a level 60 epic mage on there that I lost as well. I am a very angry man. I just want to get the word out there that itemrate.com is not an honest company. I have been screwed. Please respond to me when you get this. I was wondering if you could do some sort of write up about them on your website?
Hi Jon, bad news on your ban, although it seems to be almost the norm with powerlevel services from what I have read recently. Bad news that you had another high level char with epics on that account too, that baaad. Thats one reason I setup a new account for this purpose, I didn’t want anybody messing with one of my main accounts.

Ive never used a PL service but i can tell you that ordering gold is anything but fun. They all claim delivery in under an hour. With Team-VIP.com it took them 12 hours to deliver 50 gold that was billed to me as “Instant delivery”. With Itemrate.com i am still waiting for my order of 100 gold 12+ hours later with a gurenteed “1 hour delivery”. Both services live chats seem to scripted or a responce bot. Both services “Reps” seemed to only understand and be able to type basic english. I realize that this is possibly due to the majority of PL and Gold serivces being out of china but still… id expect more from a company whos potentialy pulling in good money.
Just figired id give you this lil review. I know you dont directly deal with Gold sellers and all but maybe it will do some good.
Team VIP (team-vip.com): Slow delivery dispite claims of being instant. 3 live chats later someone finaly was able to confirm i had an order and it would take time to process it.
Itemrate (Itemrate.com): 12+ hours for 100 gold. Claimed 1 hour delivery time. 2 live chats both seemly scripted to the gills. After a half hour chat with one, finaly got a “were working on it for you, it will take 5-12 hours”.
To respond to your gold service comment, I’ve ordered a bunch from various places.
IGXE.com Will claim they called you, but never did. They fix the error 7 days later and then start giving your gold in increments. 300 one day, 200 the next, or simply state they want to meet you in game and that everytime they come on your not available and that the next meet time will be 3 days later. Yeah so I don’t use them anymore.
Swagvault.com Is by far the best, time isnt promised on there, which shows honesty at least from the start. It takes about 3 days to recieve 800 then random smaller amounts from them. An order of 1000 gold will usually take about 4 to 5 days.
My 2 cents, take it for what its worth.
Avoid Itemrate at all costs. This is the response I got after asking for a refund (for the 4th time) having been defrauded via paypal:

Itemrate.. looked good enough so I set up another account so I wouldnt get mah main banned.. after 4 days I got a FINAL WARNING 72 hour ban ..they got my lil char to 39ish out of the promised 60 .. im thinking I might just do the rest on my own. They said they would PL again after I got account back and I was trying to make the descision. After reading Jon’s note Im thinking its best if I just do it myself.
similar experience with IGXE here. Delivery delays. they claim that they have problems with a lot of fraud going on. nevertheless, it takes many e-mails, waiting on live chat loops, and sitting next to the phone for days. there must be an easier way
paid over $100 for a powerleveling service with lelelink.com 4 weeks later they don’t start so i ask for a refund they say everytime for about 2 weeks ‘our manager is not in’ then I was forced to do a paypal dispute. beware these guys they repeatively lied to me and attempted to steal my money for no service

It’s embarassing actually. I hate that I have to PL but I run with 5 RL friends and we ‘need’ the level 70 for the class. I thought that PL was safer than EBAY but… oh well. I mean, I’m glad taht blizz does not just let you ‘create’ high level toons, but it’s become a lonely journey to get to 70. Can you imagine a new player grinding to 80, just to play at a level where things are happening??? Unless they improve rest bonus by like 6x…

I ordered 4500 gold from Team-vip on Blackrock US server and it took only about 3-4 hours, after waiting 3hours i emailed to ask when the delivery would take place and within twenty to thirty minutes they met me in game to deliver the money in bundles first 3000 then ten mins later the other 1500, i reckon that’s pretty good considering whats out there and believe me i would have not stopped complaining if they had done a bad job im from an english speaking country and i found the service to be pretty much top notch,

I too just got totally burned by Lelelink.com. They didn’t start my order for ever, they I got the run around about a refund, started a dispute with Papal, in retaliation they changed my account password so many times I got banned. This site was HORRIBLE, a real nightmare.
I ‘bought’ 1000G on Friday morning from http://www.power-levelling.org – they promised an immediate delivery, It’s now Sunday night and I still don’t have the gold. I have spoken to their live chat three times since I bought it and on each occasion they have said “It will be delivered within 12 hours” – I have just spoken to them again and they say “Sorry sir, our farmers are back in 12 hours” – I told them this isn’t good enough and they said “Sorry”.

DO NOT EVVVVER TRUST WOW-POWERLEVELING.ORG. Im in the midst of a problem with them. I bought a PL to lvl 60, said it would take 7 days at most, it’s been more than two weeks. Last night I recieved an email of a 72 hour suspension. Since this is my main account (dude im a nub dont get mad) I did not want it to be banned because I have a lvl 55 aswell. So I go on live chat, ask them to cancel my order, and give me my money back. They said I could not have a refund, but I made a case of how they state several times on their website “Your account will be safe and secure bla bla bla.” So then the live chat person named Mary(not sure if it’s her real name…or his real name hahha) threatened to call blizzard and get my account banned forever. I told them I’m calling Paypal to get my money back.
DONT TRUST THEM, THEY ARE SCAMMERS, LIERS, and if I could think of more bad things to call them I would say it. Bottom line, i’ve learned my lesson, no more powerleveling. hehehe

I have been a warcrack addict for awhile now. At the time Wrath rolled out I had 4 70’s, 4 60’s and 10 or more in the 50’s … I have 5 accounts and am not too bright about knowing when i have already gone too far.
At some point I decided I wanted to Multi-box my characters (play more than one at same time for unbeatable power fun) Well I found this was very very hard with different classes controlling all the spells. So I needed to power leveling more alts so i could have 3-4 shaman or 3-4 druids. Here is where the powerleving comes in. I have used many of the services out there and they are poor when you need help after a suspension. Most will try to get you to give them your character back not telling you if you do they will 99% get banned for second offense.
A previous story above said it best, use a different account for powerleving. If you account takes a hit that account is about done (never level on it again!). If you are stupid like me and want to continue, open a new account and transfer the toon to it. I have in total tried 6 powerlevelers (igxe-poor, pvp-powerleveling-ripoff…they use your account to sell gold and advertise on other realms, some of the older ones are gone or renamed) I have only found 1 that was honest (slow leveling not to get caught, truly stated that you still might get caught, warned how to avoid it (like never logging into the wow website, armory, or account in play), and what to do if suspended (new account). ->> http://wwww.forsaken-farmers.com <<- A-1 great service! One final note on PL’ing dont login to your account the minute the leveling is done. Wait at a minimum of eight to ten hours before you log into website and change the password to be safe. Otherwise you might be the one notifying blizzard that two IP’s from too far away for you to fly in a day have been on the account.
As a side note you will get similar issues with gold deliveries and I have done many. On that front there is one that has been the best in my book http://www.agamegold.com Although sometimes slow (atleast on a low/slow server) but always gets the job done — be mindful they will call you to pick up the gold at anytime night and day (seems more around 1-2am).

Don’t trust Tonypl services. They almost ruined my chances to play with people that I have know for over 5 years because as they were leveling my character from 71-80 they were basicly gold farming on my character.

Have ordered twice from this place. First time I ordered 58-70. Claimed it would take 6-7 days after 5 days. I would log on to a different account and find him farming gold at 64 in a level 60 zone. Complained about it taking so long and they some what hurried up and finished in 4 extra days.
2nd time i paid for a pl from 75-80. Estimated time 3-4 days. On day 4. Hes level 77 farming in B. Tundra… a level 70-71 zone. Once agian i complated about the estimated time they told me they would give me a “special” power leveler and extra gold to compisate for time. So I agreed. Later that evening I went to add a time card to the account so the pl would be intruped. And i get a notice saying my account was added to a battlenet account. And now my accounts competely gone. And i have to call Blizzard to take it off and say its unautherized. They claimed I did it. But it told me the name and email address to the battlenet they registered. Of corse the name was something in a different laungue So i knew it wasnt me I was only other person with the account info.
Also if your going to get a powerlevel from them. Send your current gold to a friend. I maded a banker and put all my gold/sellable items on it. Log in 10 min after Paying for the powerlevel. All gold from every character the that server was gone. they claimed they would give it back. But its going to be intresting to see if it really happens will post back on what happens after I hopefully get my account back

Hi. My recent experience with http://saleveling.com/ is the same as mentioned. In less than 2 days I got banned. After this I asked for a refund as they stated in terms and conditions. They responded that they have paid 70% of that money to the leveler… Anyways they were keen on finishing my order but I refused. Now I am disputing the money with them as they did not sticvk to their own policies. In addition after I loggied in, one of my level 70s was missing 1200g. I do not recommend this service to anyone.
I used pvp-depot to lvl a char as im so busy with work and i was getting bored with the game i thought id try a new class and i still wanted to keep up with my guild well they got me banned tbh they suck they took so much long than they said the would 16 – 62 took them 3 weeks and they were playing nearly 24hrs a day well i learnt my leason ill never use anyone again tbh what blizz need to do is have a pay per level for us people that have real lives and work hard that way we can keep up with other people out there that dont work and spend all day ever day on the game anyway beware STAY AWAY FROM pvp-depot.com they WILL get you banned.

I have had friends use Gameleveling.com and they havent had any problems yet with them and there players even talk to people and make runs to the Towns too soo its looks like u are a real player they dont use bots or anything
I bought powerleveling from http://www.power4wow.com to lvl me from 70-80, lvl two proffs to 450 and do a bunch of other stuff. after a day I was still lvl 70 but they had lvl’d mining to 450 which I was happy of. Then about an hour after checking I got an email from blizz saying that my account got a permanent ban for economy exploitation, they never gave me any warnings. I contacted live chat and they said to explain to blizzard that my account was hacked by gold farmers and thats why my ip was changing to one from china. They told me once i get my account back that I should tell them the new password. Should I trust them?
i have recently fell victim to a scam!. had a level 57 warrior and got a package that said to get me to level 80. i really dont have to much time during the day and when i do i dont want it to be spent leveling so i found what i thought is a good site. after i read there info they say they where located in florida stupid me for thinking that. i do it any way. 2 times a day i check up with there live chat which is really fast to connect with someone, the qierd thing is that every every every single time you talked to a person named jenny.
