I thought it would be fun to document my experience of a power leveling service which I am using to get my World of Warcraft character to level 60. The people I chose to do this task for me are www.gamepal.com, they seemed to be one of the cheapest and had a fairly decent looking website with a control panel which you can access to view the progress of your orders and even send messages to your personal power leveler! I initially had an online chat with them using their Live Chat service. They seemed very quick to respond and answered my questions well.
I created a free 10 day trial account via the WoW website and then upgraded it online to a full account, which automatically gives it 30 days credit. I did not bother adding any further gametime at this point in case the worst happens! I logged in to the account, created my chosen character, gave him a name etc, played for maybe 20 mins then logged out.
So, on the 12th February 2007 at 19:30 GMT I decided to sign up for the…
| Products | World of Warcraft (EU) Powerleveling Level A Rogue – 1 to 60 PL Username: XXXX; PL Server: YYYY EURO – Horde |
| Price | $159.99 |
This seemed a good price. At the same time I decided to push the boat out and get…
| Products | World of Warcraft (EU) Powerleveling Engineering – 1 to 300 PL Username: XXXX; PL Server:YYYY EURO – Horde |
| Price | $49.99 |
This would save me a lot of time and effort and for the price seemed good. I assumed they would just put two and two together and realise that this was for the same character I had asked them to level from 1-60 for me. I had to leave a contact phone number so they could call me and verify the order.
About one hour later I got a call on my cell phone from an american chap, to be honest the call was that broken up and distorted after about 10 seconds of me saying ‘hello’ and him replying ‘hello’, he said ’sorry wrong number’ and hungup! I logged in to the website and started an online chat with somebody. I explained what had happened and asked them to call again. Things went better this time. James called me and asked me a series of questions, almost everything except my inside leg measurment! Things like, full name, address, server name, character name, faction, class of character, PayPal email address, order numbers of both my orders, one for the 1-60 power level and the other for 1-300 engineering. He confirmed that the process was now done and both orders had been sucessfully authorized! Great I thought, lets get this show moving!
